Why Your Morning Routine Matters
Your skin faces a daily assault from UV radiation, pollution, blue light, and environmental stressors. A smart morning routine is your armour.
The 5-Step Morning Routine
Step 1: Gentle Cleanse (or Skip)
If you cleansed properly the night before and have normal or dry skin, you might just need a splash of water in the morning. Over-cleansing strips the barrier. If you have oily skin, use a gentle low-pH cleanser.
Step 2: Vitamin C Serum
Morning is the ideal time for vitamin C — it works synergistically with SPF to neutralise free radicals from UV exposure. Apply 3–4 drops and let it absorb for 60 seconds.Step 3: Eye Cream
Gently pat around the orbital bone. The ring finger is ideal — it applies the least pressure.Step 4: Moisturiser
Seal in your vitamin C and eye cream. Even oily skin types benefit from a lightweight moisturiser.Step 5: SPF — Always Last
SPF 30 minimum, SPF 50 preferred. Apply it generously — most people apply only a quarter of the recommended amount, which means you're getting a fraction of the protection. The Rule of Thumb
If you do nothing else, do Step 5. SPF is the single most impactful anti-aging step in any routine.
